Doireann Garrihy is no longer seeing Clare man, Joe Melody.
In an interview with the Irish Mail on Sunday, Doireann revealed that the pair are no longer an item as she found it too difficult “to have a long-distance relationship when you are in the public eye.”

The pair made their debut at last year’s Electric Picnic when they attended the festival together but, unfortunately due to work and distance, decided to call it a day.
The 26-year-old who has just started a new podcast show chatted about the last two years of her career to the publication noting 2017 as her breakout year and 2018 as the year she landed some big deals. But being on the go 24/7 led the star to feeling seriously burnt out as she tried to juggle the Doireann Project, Podge and Rodge and the Zoo Crew radio show all at once.

“I thought being busy was this badge of honour. Then, last November, I was in work one day and I just burst out crying. I just hit a wall. For a few weeks I was just a shell of myself.
“Whether it was filming or radio or the constant of having to be on my phone all the time, it was too much. I realised I needed to slow down a bit and that is why I am not as busy,” she explained.

But now, as work is a little quieter, Doireann is taking time to work on her podcast which has seen some incredible names join her for chats over the past three weeks.
