Olympic champion Chris Hoy and his wife Sarra Kemp have welcomed their first child, weeks ahead of her due date.
The cyclist confirmed that the little one, a baby boy, arrived on Wednesday afternoon before sharing the above photograph.
“Amazed, delighted & a little shocked to announce the birth of our beautiful baby son, Callum David Robert Hoy! Born at 29weeks, today at 2pm,” he wrote before adding that there is still a long way to go.
“Although v.early days for wee Callum, he’s doing well as is @SarraHoy. Huge thanks to the incredible medical staff… So many messages. @SarraHoy and I are blown away, thank you.”
Chris, who is Britain’s most successful Olympic athlete of all time, and Sarra, a successful lawyer, tied the knot back in 2010.
The couple have just welcomed their first child together.
