Former TOWIE star Ricky Rayment and Geordie Shore’s Marnie Simpson have finally confirmed their engagement, after rumours that Ricky had popped the question began circulating last month.
Speculation mounted when a tweet from Marnie seemingly confirmed the news.

Now, the couple has officially revealed they will wed in 2016 and spoke about their plans in an interview with OK! magazine.
“I’ve known since the first day I met Marnie that she was the woman I was going to marry,” Ricky said.

“When you know someone is right for you, what’s the point of waiting?”
Ricky also revealed to the magazine that he is feeling broody and hopes to start trying for a family soon.
“I’m already broody,” he admitted. “I’m hoping we’ll start trying on honeymoon.”

Marnie stated that the pair talk about starting a family ‘all the time’ and that she’d like to have two children.
She later added that she plans to have a large bridal party.
“Ricky has four sisters so I’ll definitely be asking them, and I’ll also have my Geordie Shore housemates Chloe Ferry, Holly Hagan and Charlotte Crosby too.”
Ricky reportedly popped the question in June after the pair had been dating for six months.
