Comic duo and best friends Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly have landed their own show, a Friends style sitcom.

The ITV show is set to be filmed in front of a live studio in London and various famous names have already been lined up to make guest appearances.

Set around their daily lives in the showbiz industry, the pair are thought to be filming the pilot episode before the end of the year.

Ant McPartlin told the Daily Star newspaper: “We’ve talked a lot about the future this year. We love ‘I’m A Celebrity’, ‘Britain’s Got Talent’, ‘Saturday Night Takeaway’, but they’re all live shows.

Apparently the show will be like popular sitcom Friends

“The difference between doing a live show and a sitcom is that a sitcom can live on. If you do it well, it can leave a legacy, whereas most of our live work never gets repeated because it’s final, it’s done, you start again.”

Ant and Dec are currently in Australia ahead of this year’s I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here, the reality TV show which they present.

This year’s show is set to feature Kian Egan of Westlife fame, Lucy Pargeter (Chas in Emmerdale) and snooker legend Steve Davis.
