Jon Richardson has revealed that he is engaged to his girlfriend and fellow comedian Lucy Beaumont.
The 31-year-old, who is known for appearing on 8 Out of 10 Cats, made the announcement at the end of the first episode of his television series Jon Richardson Grows Up (which aired on Channel 4 last night).
Speaking about his relationship during the show, which focused on love, he explained: “It’s odd when we met. You obviously get that instant spark of romance and all that, but then also, with me and Lucy, we were very comfortable together very early.
“I am very lucky. If I’d read that I met someone and – within a couple of dates – we were going out, and then we went on holiday together, and then she moved in a few months later, I would have scoffed at it.”
He added: “I think I love Lucy as much as I could love anyone but if that goes badly how can you trust in love for the rest of your life?”
Guess he decided to take the risk!
