The BBC has responded to a number of complaints from viewers after Holly Willoughby chose a low-cut black number for The Voice UK final.
The presenter wore a plunging black maxi dress on Saturday night’s show, sparking 139 complaints from viewers, Digital Spy reports.
The BBC responded to the upset and said, “We’re sorry if some viewers found Holly’s dress to be unsuitable.”
“Holly enjoys fashion and we felt the dress she wore for the live final of The Voice UK was glamorous and wholly appropriate for the occasion.”
The source added that the dress did not go “against audience expectations for a TV spectacle such as this”.

Holly wowed in black… but the low-cut style upset a few people.
The final pulled in a massive 7.24 million viewers so the number of complaints, although they hits the headlines, weren’t too big in comparison.
Script frontman Danny O’Donoghue’s contestant Andrea Begley won the competition as he called her “an inspiration”.
We could be leaning towards the BBC on this one; Holly’s a classy lady and looked nothing but glamorous in black lace…
