Black Eyed Peas’ Will.i.am is said to be countersuing Pharrell over a YouTube channel name.

Pharrell’s channel’s name is “I am OTHER.” Earlier this year, Pharrell filed a suit against Will.i.am asking a judge to protect his right to you the “I Am” moniker.

According to TMZ, Will.i.am’s countersuit claims that Pharell’s brand resembles his own “i.am+” and that it’s too similar. His countersuit also claims that the singer has a long history of copying other people.

“We think their proposed trademark is too close to our registered and common law trademarks” said Will.i.am’s lawyer, Ken Hertz.

“They disagree. We hope to work out a sensible compromise that will allow both parties to move forward without unnecessary acrimony.”

The Voice UK judge’s lawsuit also notes that Pharrell is currently being sued by Marvin Gaye’s family where it’s said that he allegedly ripped off “Got to Give it Up”.
