You know you have provided great service when the President of the United States leaves you a tip that is worth over half of the total bill.
President Obama was having lunch with a group of college students and their parents at a deli and café, Magnolia’s in Rochester, after it came highly recommended by New York Senator Charles Schumer.
Obama enjoyed his grilled cheese sandwich and tomato soup so much that he insisted on picking up the bill.
The bill for all nine people totaled to $89.64, which included the 20% gratuity charge for large parties.
However according to TMZ the additional $16.64 charge wasn’t satisfactory for BO and he threw in an extra $30 just for good measure. The President even left a note of thanks at the bottom of the receipt.
We wonder did he like Magnolia’s on Facebook…
This isn’t the first time Obama has showed his gratuity generosity, it was rumoured back in 08′ that the President left an $18 tip at a bar in Raleigh after having only a $2 beer.
