John Mayer and Katy Perry were spotted hanging out at the weekend, prompting speculation that the couple may be back together.
This is the first time they have been pictured together publicly since they split in February last year.
According to reports, Katy (30) and John (37) arrived at a Beverly Hills restaurant in separate cars last weekend. They then left together and returned to Katy’s home.
A source told Us Weekly that the couple have decided to “reconnect”.
“Things just needed to cool down. They aren’t officially back on but talking again” continued the insider.

Katy was recently linked to American DJ Diplo but according to the source, this was never serious.
“It was only ever a hook up thing with Diplo and never serious. Katy was so busy touring all last year that she couldn’t be with anyone seriously.
“The pace of the tour was excruciatingly hard to get through. She had no downtime”.
Pop star Katy married Russell Brand in October 2010 but Russell filed for divorce after 14 months.
John has previously been linked to a number of famous faces including Jessica Simpson, Jennifer Aniston and Taylor Swift.
