Alec Baldwin has hit out at a Mail Online writer on Twitter, as it was reported his wife Hilaria Baldwin was tweeting during the funeral ceremony of their friend James Gandolfini.
The 55-year-old actor went on a rant, threatening the reporter over the story published online. He has since deleted his Twitter account, the Daily Mail reports.
The story claimed Baldwin’s 32-year-old yoga instructor wife had been tweeting a series of upbeat tweets about wedding anniversary presents and fruit smoothies at the time of the Sopranos star’s funeral, despite being supposedly inside the church.

Baldwin attended the funeral of his friend James Gandolfini with his wife.
The father-of-one told his side of the story, tweeting: “Someone wrote that my wife was tweeting at a funeral. Hey. That’s not true. But I’m gonna tweet at your funeral.
“My wife DID NOT use her phone, in any capacity, at our friends funeral. Now, f*ck this twitter + good luck to all of you who know the truth.”
His message became aggressive as he tweeted about journalist George Stark, writing: “I’m gonna find you George Stark, you toxic little queen, and I’m gonna f*ck you… up…
“If put my foot up your f*cking ass, George Stark, but I’m sure you’d dig it too much…
“My wife and I attended a funeral to pay our respects to an old friend, and some toxic Brit write this f*cking trash…
“I want all of my followers and beyond to straighten out this f*cking little b*tch… George Stark, you lying little b*tch. I am gonna f*ck you up.”

Hilaria was allegedly tweeting during Gandolfini’s funeral ceremony.
Mail Online have now announced that they will be seeking urgent clarification from Twitter as to when Hilaria’s tweets were posted.
Alec Baldwin insists Mrs Baldwin did not have her phone with her and had in fact left the ceremony when she made the tweets.
Baldwin’s publicist said the couple stayed at the ceremony for an “extended period of time” before leaving early as Hilaria, who is seven months pregnant, was feeling faint.
