Adele’s father walked out on her Mum when she was just a child, now battling with bowel cancer, the 51-year-old is begging for the chance to meet his grandson.
Mark Evans fears that he may never see 10-month-old baby Angelo James if his condition is to get any worse.
The singer’s estranged father told the Sun newspaper, “It could be over for me before I get to make my peace with Adele.”
“I still haven’t met Angelo and I’m facing the fact I may never do,” he added.
Adele gave birth to Baby Angelo 10 months ago.
Powerhouse Adele remained in contact with her father despite the fact he left her Mum to raise the singer on her own.
The new Mum stopped speaking to her Mark just two years ago after he gave a revealing interview about their family’s past.
Mark admits he was “an alcoholic and a rotten father.”
Evans went on to claim he attempts to make contact wit the singer regularly, sending letters to her management one a fortnight.
“The years are going by and I’m worried I’m not going to see my grandson and do the things with him that I did when Adele was a child.”
The Daily Mail report that the Oscar winner, who is worth an estimated £35 million, allegedly said that she would spit on her father’s face if she ever saw him again. Something tells us he won’t be seeing his grandson in a hurry then.
