Actor Tom Sizemore has apologised to both Elizabeth Hurley and Bill Clinton for claiming that they had a year-long affair during his US presidency.
He admitted on HuffPost Live yesterday that it was him on the tape but that the recording was from when he was battling his drug addiction.
“I’m not denying I said those things,” he said. “It’s an old video and they are the rantings of a guy, and it has been chronicled, who had a very serious drug problem.”
He added: “I do apologise to her for any hurt I may have caused her or the Clintons. I have no idea if Hurley and Clinton know each other.”
When the news broke on RadarOnline, Elizabeth took to Twitter to deny the allegations. She wrote: “Ludicrously silly stories about me & Bill Clinton. Totally untrue. In the hands of my lawyers. Yawn.”
Later on in the day she thanked her fans for their support. The post read: “Thank you very much for your (mostly) very nice comments on what has been a pretty gruesome day x”.
