Actor John Barrowman married his long-term partner Scott Gill yesterday in California… and announced the good news by posting a clip on the photo and video-sharing website WhoSay.
The couple celebrated the California Supreme Court’s decision to overturn the Defence of Marriage Act, which banned same-sex marriage.
They took a video of themselves leaving for the wedding ceremony, their trusty coffees in hand.
“It’s five after one and we’ve got our coffee,” Barrowman says to the camera, “and we’re in the car getting ready to leave, because where are we going, Scott?”
Barrowman then turns to his partner of 20 years, Gill, who replies, “To get married. Yay!”

After the ceremony, the couple posted a celebratory photo of themselves with their marriage certificate, writing, “We are now legally married. Thanks for all your great wishes. JB and Scott.”
The couple previously travelled to the UK after Christmas in 2006 to enter a civil partnership together.
Barrowman has also spoken about his wish to have a family. He said that they are hoping to adopt an older child or teenager.
