Fans of travel all TripAdvisor will now be able to book their hotel through the mobile app and mobile website on their smartphone, with the launch of its instant booking feature.
The new feature, which is already in the US, will launch with partners including Tingo, Choice Hotels and Getaroom.com.
The launch of the instant hotel booking feature followed research from the company that 90% of travellers use their mobile phones while holidaying, and a further 27% use their mobile phones to look for hotels.
Adam Medros, spokesperson for TripAdvisor, said the launch will improve customer’s experience on mobile phone, allowing them to make reservations from the comfort of the site:
“Instant booking not only provides a more efficient hotel booking experience for travellers, but also benefits our hotel and online travel agency partners with the potential for more bookings and improved downstream conversion.”
This new feature will also allow TripAdvisor to serve travellers already in-destination, or those using smartphones to book travel during their trips.
