We all know that with the joys of a tumble in the sheets, comes the added responsibility of practising safe sex.

Whether you choose to use a condom, contraceptive pill or an alternative method, we all know that the best inventions are ones that can help ease everyday hassles or struggles.

Well the latest research and enterprising skills have created a new contraceptive injection for men called Vasagel, which should ease the issue of having spare protection when most in need.

According to its creators, the Parsemus Foundation, Vasalgel temporarily blocks the tubes which sperm flows through from a man’s testicles.

The group hope that the treatment will act as a temporary vasectomy that will revolutionise the way men cater for contraceptives.

There is one slight hitch to this new option though… the injection must be administered just above the man’s testicles.

The foundation have confirmed they are still in the early stages of developing the treatment, with human trials planned for next year.

The Parsemus Foundation hope the innovative contraception will be available for human use in 2017.
