Created by a hairstylist known as ‘Hiro’ this is the latest trend that’s sweeping through Japan. Prepare yourselves, it’s hilarious:

Yes, this hairstyle, dubbed the “Ripe Tomato” has become the signature ‘do of younger generations. According to Kotaku, the hairstyle was born when Hiro created it in an Osaka Salon called ‘Trick Store.’
The salon is located in the city’s “hipster youth district” and they love creating hairstyles that are majorly out-there in the style stakes.
Unsurprisingly, the Ripe Tomato has attracted a fair bit of attention online but the good news is that while its popularity is growing, it has yet to go mainstream (could you imagine if it became the latest hair trend and everyone was rocking it?).
Hmm… to be honest we like our tomatoes where they belong: on our pizza.
