This Could Be Why Your Hair Always Feels Greasy (It’s Not Your Conditioner)

Guilty of this.

If dry shampoo is part of your daily routine, then the below might interest you.

There’s nothing more annoying then washing your hair in the morning only to have it turn limp and oily by evening.

According to Seventeen, it’s all to do with how you’re washing your hair and there’s a simple way to alleviate the grease.

While you might think conditioner is the main culprit, it’s not and P&G Principal Scientist Dr. Rolanda Wilkerson says a greasy scalp is often because of ineffective shampooing.

“The roots likely feel greasier due to sebum production after washing and/or ineffective cleansing at the roots and scalp” says Dr. Rolanda.

If you’re in a rush, which often happens when you’re trying to scramble out the door in the morning, devoting time to shampooing rarely happens.

However, taking the time to properly scrub your scalp can banish that greasiness as all the product is then properly eliminated from your scalp.

It might take a bit more time but if the end result means shiny, glossy hair then it has to be worth getting up five minutes earlier.

Right?!
