Spotted on Cosmopolitan, ‘braided balayage’ is where you braid your hair into bunches before dying it.
In an Instagram clip, posted by Lebanese hair salon Mounir, the hair is plaited along a wire with underneath sections left hanging down.
Another important step is pinning the hair up before the bleach is applied to ensure a subtle tonal balayage effect.
It looks a lot more complicated than regular balayage but it’s a new way to approach an old technique and we’re definitely intrigued!
