The Four Step Trick To Fuller Looking Lashes (No Falsies Required)

It’s all down to these clever make-up tips.

In an ideal world, we’d all have super long, luscious lashes that could sweep a street with one flutter of our eyelids.

That old-school Hollywood glamour can set your peepers apart from the crowd, although the thought of false lashes (or the effort in applying them) can take their toll on your beauty regime.

So what is you could achieve that fuller lash look with some handy make-up hints?

Here’s your four step guide to achieving the falsie effect au natural…

Invest in a good eye-lash curler:

It sounds obvious, but the first step in longer lashes is curling what God already gave you. Want to make the curl last longer? Hold you hairdryer on a medium heat over the clasp until it lightly heats the plates. Just be careful not to burn your eyelid by leaving the hairdryer on for too long.

Swipe on a primer:

Make-up artist Kira Nasrat advised Instyle that eyelash primer is the secret tool we’ve all been waiting for:

“Most people skip this step, but if you want your lashes to be full and thick, then prime them. It’s also a great way to protect your lashes and keep them conditioned.

“You can also use this alone or at night as a conditioning treatment.”

Tight-lining your eyes:

This quick technique requires you to apply eyeliner between your lashes and along the upper waterline. The little trick instantly makes your lashes appear thicker.

Be sure to use a waterproof formula to avoid any running.

Nasrat adds that a good pencil might be your best option, explaining:

“You have to have a good pointed tip in order to get in between the root of the lashes.”

Apply your mascara:

Although it might seem obvious to opt for a volumising mascara, it’s a fact that not all products were created equally.

Look through sample mascaras for a wand with a thick brush and densely-packed bristles.

This allows you to scoop up a lot of product without making your lashes look clumpy.

Feel like you can take a little more product. Feel free to apply a second coat (just make sure to have an eyelash brush at hand to comb out any clumps.)

Keep It Cheap For Your Staples For items you tend to replace a lot and don’t necessarily need to test first like mascara or eyeliner, you can keep it cheap if you need too. They still have the right research and development behind them and work just as well. Do spend on a foundation though, a colour match is critical and once you find a trusty foundation it is tough to leave it for a cheaper version.
