The snow may look pretty but it can wreck havoc with your hair!

And, no amount of brushing, dry shampoo or sticking your head under the hand dryer in the loo can salvage a bad hair day, if you’ve got caught in one of today’s many snow showers.

But, don’t despair…

Here we reveal the three foolproof styles that will transform limp and lifeless tresses in an instant. All you need are a few hair ties and bobby pins and you’re good to go.

Milkmaid Plaits:

Lucky enough to have mid-length to long hair? Then this pretty style will work a treat. Simply part your hair to the middle or side and tie your hair back into a low ponytail. Then plait the pony and wrap it around the crown of your head, fixing the end with some pins. Alternatively, if your hair is shorter, try two pigtail plaits and wrap them so they meet at the top of your head. A few strands of hair at the front helps to soften the look.

Pulled Back:

If you have shorter hair or a pixie crop, changing things up can be a bit of a challenge. Here Victoria Beckham shows that scraping your hair back with a simple black headband is the perfect way to give a shorter style a revamp. It’s playful, yet chic, and will tame unruly shorter styles in an instant.

Top Knot:

We all love a top knot here at Her.ie! It’s so simple to do, works wonders when you’ve been too lazy to wash your hair and the messier it is, the better it looks. Seriously, what’s not to love! If you’re worried that your hair isn’t thick enough, a hair doughnut is the easiest way to cheat your way to more volume, but a bit of hearty backcombing will also work a treat too.
