Oranges and citrus fruits are great astringents and help clear blemishes.
Celery works as an amazing anti-inflammatory.
Cleansing & Moisturising

Foaming cleansers generally do a much better job cleansing away oil and leave your skin feeling fresh and clean.
Toning is very important for acne as it closes the pores of the face. To help get rid of the spots always use a toner that is alcohol free.
Regular moisturising helps regulate blood circulation in the skin and controls the sebaceous glands to release the sebum.
For problematic, acne prone skin, always use products that contain salicylic acid or benzyl peroxide as these active ingredients help to reduce pimples.
Homemade Treatments

A potato is packed with nutrients that can help heal acne and pimple scars – potassium, sulfur, phosphorus, and chloride are all known to help heal blemishes. Potato can have an astringent effect on skin that can exfoliate and lighten marks or scars.
After peeling one potato, grate or slice it up.
Apply the slice of potato to your skin, allow the face to soak in it’s nutrients for about 30 minutes.
Rinse with luke warm water and pat dry.

Priming the skin can prevent clogging further breakout. Try choosing a primer containing aloe vera along with other anti-oxidants as these will give the affected area relief.
Concealer and camoflauge products are a lifesaver, but what most people who really need them don’t know is that there are a number of shade options. Pick a concealer which neutralises and fully disguises your blemishes and scars to even-out your skin tone.

Other Tips
You should also cleanse your face immediately after you sweat (after gym class or working out).
Do not use facial scrubs on broken skin.
