They show absolutely no sign of waning, recently I featured this honey hue for brunette gals and rose gold blond for lighter-haired ladies.
The latest look that’s been getting attention is ‘hidden rainbow hair’ and it’s seriously cool.
To be honest, this isn’t one for the faint-hearted as there’s a lot of bright colours and shades involved but it is FAB and ideal for anyone who loves to experiment with trends.
The really cool thing about it though, and what sets it apart from similar vibrant looks, is the fact that it’s kept hidden under the outer strands of hair.
This means you can wear your hair down and the colours will show through as a peekaboo effect or alternatively, you can put the top section in a top knot and show off the colour job.
Colour specialist, Athena Golden, spoke to The Huffington Post about the trend and how extra care needs to be taken to perfect the look.
Athena said that it is essential to protect the hair while lightening it to a point where the colours are noticeable and vivid.
She explained that it can be disastrous if certain colours are mixed together:
“Done wrong, the colors mix with the base tone of the hair and make a color not intended”
Senior colourist Carla, who works at Not Another Salon (inspired name or what), also got on board with the trend and shared the finished result on the salon’s Instagram account.
