People are dying their hair with a blacklight-sensitive dye to create the illusion of glow in the dark.
The trend is known as blacklight hair but colorist Angelo David Salon warned Mashable about the possible effects.
“Glow-in-the-dark is a fun trend that won’t necessarily damage your hair, but keep in mind that bright colors tend to stain blondes,” he said. He also advised the hair be well conditioned before the treatment.
There are many blacklight-sensitive dyes on the market and stylists advise those seeking the look to consult with their hairdresser.
