No one wants to check the bathroom mirror at 12pm and realise they’re rocking the gothic look accidentally.
But one of the most common make-up meltdown complaints is eyeliner that runs down your face throughout the day.
There is a very simple and logical tip that will prevent this from happening and keep those peepers looking perfect all day.
Speaking to Cosmopolitan, celebrity makeup artist Patrick Ta, who tends to the faces of Gigi Hadid and Kim Kardashian prescribes a three-step solution to combat the issue.
1. Line with a waterproof eyeliner.
This is a bit of a no-brainer. If your eyes are prone to sensitivity, your tears are probably breaking down your product and causing it to run. A waterproof liner will provide a barrier and stop this from happening.
2. Go over it with a black eyeshadow.
Once you’ve lined with your waterproof, take a black shadow and your angle brush and press it into the waterline to hold it in place.
3. Create a powder barrier.
Finally, seal the deal with a translucent powder. Many of us are guilty of haphazardly swooshing our powder all over our faces with a big fluffy brush. But for maximum impact, take a sponge or a puff and press (don’t wipe) the product into the area just below the eyes where the liner tends to run.
It may take a little longer in the morning, but it definitely saves time on touch-ups during the day.
Sure we’ll be only gorgeous.
