Cheryl Cole’s Flowing Locks Take The Title For Most Copied Hairstyle

Jen Aniston, please give back your hair crown...

Sue Murphy

Former Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Cole has topped a poll for the most copied hairstyle in the UK as millions of women try to imitate her look.

Cole beat out the likes of Holly Willoughby and Kelly Brook, who came in second and third place respectively, to top the poll which was commissioned by Toni and Guy.

Sacha Mascolo-Tarbuck, Global Creative Director for Toni & Guy commented: ”Many women look for inspiration when deciding what to do with their hair next, particularly if they are going for a different colour or style to their usual. Cheryl’s long brunette hair has been popular for some time now and seems to be showing no signs of being replaced by another style anytime soon.”

”The hair styles featured at the top of the list are very versatile and can be made to look different fairly easily.”

Fourth in the list was Kate Middleton with her slightly wavy hair and fifth place was the Jennifer Aniston long-layered style. However, considering Aniston first entered the list years ago for her “Rachel” bob, fifth place is still quite an achievement.

On top of that, Cheryl managed to enter the list twice, her second entry for her mahogany looks.

Here’s the Top 10 of the survey.

1.    Cheryl Cole (long brunette waves)
2.    Holly Willoughby (honey long, wavy)
3.    Kelly Brook (long loose waves)
4.    Kate Middleton (brunette long waves)
5.    Jennifer Aniston (current long layered look)
6.    Cheryl Cole (red/mahogany long waves)
7.    Cameron Diaz (short choppy styles)
8.    Zooey Deschanel (heavy fringe, long brunette)
9.    Kim Kardashian (jet black long hair)
10.    Anne Hathaway (short, pixie crop)
