We have to say, we were expecting a little bit more from this Scarlett Johansson advert that was banned by Fox. We certainly weren’t expecting the reason it was banned.
According to USA Today, the ad, which features Scarlett making a SodaStream drink before she teases the camera while drinking it, was banned because of four words the actress utters at the end.
Apparently, the line “Sorry Coke and Pepsi” was enough to make the studio run a mile.
CEO Daniel Birnbaum told USA Today last week that the network rejected the ad “because they’re afraid of Coke and Pepsi.”
We were kind of expecting more than this.
