A family from South Wales had their missing dog returned to them this week after he disappeared ten years ago.
According to the Mirror, the dog was just a day away from being put down when he was returned to the family.
The dog, named Chance, had vanished from the family home when his owner, Sion, was just 11-years-old.
Ten years later, they received a phone call informing them that their dog had been returned to the Newport Dog’s Home.
Before he was picked up, Chance was just a day away from being put down due to his age and condition. However, after the vet scanned the dog they discovered he was owned by Sion and his mom Julie.
Sion said he is prepared to give his dog a new life: “I just want to keep him going as long as possible now. If that’s six months, 10 months or two years I want to give him the best life possible.”
