Service dog Xander is completely blind, having lost his eyes at a young age.
Despite this, Xander is a certified Pet Partner’s therapy dog. He arrived at an animal shelter in Oregon last year and was adopted within a few days.
Rodney Beeny instinctively knew that Xander would be a great service dog so he and his wife adopted him.
He was certified as a therapy dog and Xander now helps victims of child and spousal abuse.
The two-year-old pug mix has a gift for making those in need feel better.
Hearing someone crying will draw Xander to them and he managed to move around very well even though he can’t see.
