Those who were anticipating Ben Affleck’s debut as Batman in 2015, will have to wait even longer as it was revealed that the film is to be delayed until 2016.
Warner Bros. Pictures announced that they would be pushing back the release date for the not-yet-named Man of Steel sequel aka Superman/Batman to May 6th, 2016.
The Man of Steel sequel, directed by Zack Snyder, will see Henry Cavill returning as Superman and Affleck as Batman, side-by-side.
According to the statement by the studio, the extra time is to allow the creators to “fully realize their vision, given the complex visual nature of the story.”
The new film will also be featuring Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman.
