A woman in her 30s has been killed and a child injured after being hit by a car in Balbriggan, Dublin this afternoon.
The incident is understood to have happened at around 12:30p.m on on the main Dublin road into the area.
It is thought the child was taken to Temple Street Hospital to be treated while the driver of the vehicle was brought to Beaumont Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area for the moment as diversions have been put in place.
