On February 16th the 2014 BAFTA Film Awards take place just across the pond. The ceremony will be hosted by Stephen Fry and broadcast on BBC One. This morning, the nominees for the 2014 awards were announced by Luke Evans and Helen McCrory.
Leading the pack is Sandra Bullock and George Clooney vehicle Gravity, with 11 nominations, while 12 Years A Slave and American Hustle received ten nominations each.
Fassbender, who has been nominated for Best Supporting Actor for his role in 12 Years a Slave commented: “I’m so thrilled and honoured to be nominated. I am very proud to be a part of this film and want to thank BAFTA for all the support they have shown us.”
