Angelina Jolie is rumoured to be first choice to play TV chef Nigella Lawson in a movie charting the star’s recent troubles.
Hollywod producers are said to be eager to make a film about Nigella’s split from Charles Saatchi and the trial which investigated fraud claims involving two of her former personal assistants.
‘Angie had planned to take a lot of time off next year but this role is very tempting. She has been gripped like everyone else by all the drama surrounding Nigella these past few months and thinks she is a remarkable woman’, an insider told The Sun yesterday.
‘The story has got it all – and she’s as intrigued as anyone else by it,’ added the source.

54-year-old Nigella recently admitted to taking cocaine after the death of her late husband John Diamond.
The plot of the film is thought to involve Nigella’s role in the role of the court case of her former aides.
Nigella is well known in the US thanks to her TV cooking show The Taste and the UK version of the programme is set to launch this Tuesday on Channel 4 at 9pm.
