Will Smith, who played James Avery’s nephew on popular sit-com The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, has broken his silence following the death of late actor, who died on December 31st.
Smith took to his Facebook page to share his respects, and uploaded a group photo with Avery. Underneath the photo he wrote:
“Some of my greatest lessons in Acting, Living and being a respectable human being came through James Avery. Every young man needs an Uncle Phil. Rest in Peace.”
On the photo, the star noted that this was the last time that he was with James Avery:
“This photo was the last time we were together” he wrote.
Avery died at an L.A. hospital following an open-heart surgery.
