Matt Cardle, who won the 2010 series of the X Factor, has reportedly checked himself into rehabilitation centre, The Priory.
The singer is said to have signed up for a 28-day programme at the facility based in London last night after allegedly becoming hooked on prescription pills temazepam and Valium.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Matt is all over the place at the moment.
“His last two albums have done well in the charts, but the amount of work he has had to put in has been unreal – and it all started to get too much for him.

Matt is determined to kick this habit before his tour starts in April of next year
“In order to calm himself down he started taking Valium and then temazepam, but things got so bad that he couldn’t get up in the morning without taking pills.
“He began to realise he had a problem and decided to do something about it and get clean before his tour.”
Matt is siad to be determined to kick the addiction before his UK tour starts in April 2014.
