There have been a few worthy contenders for celebrity wedding of the year in 2013, but with only a few days to go Vanessa Carlton may have swooped in and stolen the title.
Yesterday the singer, who had a monster hit with A Thousand Miles in 2002, married Deer Tick’s lead singer and guitarist John McCauley on Friday.
The bride took to her Twitter account to share the happy news late on Friday night, saying: “Married this gentleman two hours ago xo” and sharing a picture of the happy couple.
While Carlton, 33, made for a beautiful bride, we have to admit it was the wedding official who really took our breath away.
One of the most respected and beloved women in rock, the legendary Stevie Nicks did the honour for the couple. The 65-year-old Fleetwood mac star was pictured smiling at Carlton as she presided over the ceremony.
It was a happy day for Carlton, who back in November shared the tragic news that she had suffered a fallopian pregnancy and lost the child she was expecting with McCauley.
