It’ll be lonely this Christmas without Justin Bieber after the young star announced his official retirement in the early hours of this morning.
Bieber took to his Twitter account to break the news to his 47.9 million followers, with this simple message:

The ‘Baby’ singer continued by tweeting to tell his adoring Beliebers that his decision was a result of media scrutiny and that he would never leave.
The media talks a lot about me.They make a up a lot of lies and want me to fail but I’m never leaving you, being a belieber is a lifestyle.

Although it seems like a great present for those folk who don’t particularly like the singer it isn’t the first time Bieber’s retirement has popped up. In recent weeks the rumours circulated but had all been dismissed.
Only time will tell whether Biebs will actually hang up his mic but the timing is perfect for the release of his new movie, Believe, which is out today.
Coincidence? We’ll let you decide…
