We all heard the rumours that Kelly Rowland was going to tie the knot, but it’s only now that the singer has come out and confirmed her engagement to Tim Witherspoon.
“He put a ring on it,” Rowland said in an interview that’s to air Wednesday on The Queen Latifah Show, that was obtained by E! Online.
Rowland had previously been very private about her personal life, rarely talking about Tim and their relationship, but happily told Queen Latifah that her other half had popped the question through Skype!
“He asked me first on Skype,” she recalled, laughing, “and I was like, ‘We’re so far away from each other.'”
“But it was so late, I remember we were both just kinda like, honestly, just staring at each other. And he asked me, and it was just that simple to say yes. I was like, ‘I got my best friend to ride through life with.’ He really is my best friend.”
