Christmas Style – Festive Fashion For The Season Ahead

Red is where it's at...

Cathy Donohue

Whether you’re a fan or not, the colour red tends to feature a lot in Christmas fashion looks.

It’s a traditional Christmas colour seen on stockings, Santa’s suit, tree decorations and of course when choosing what to wear during the festive season.

Red dresses are extremely popular this season, from deep wines to bright fiery tones there’s something to suit every taste.

A simple Peter Pan collared dress is perfect for day wear while the lace and sequinned options on the high-street are ideal for the more-dressed up occasions.

Green is another popular colour at Christmas as is gold, both of these are associated with Christmas so it makes sense to don them for the season that’s in it.

Taking in Twelve Pubs of Christmas is a very popular past time in the run up to the day itself and we have included a few Christmas jumpers for the occasion.

Sticking to traditional Christmas colours and dark winter shades can get a bit boring and dresses and Christmas knits aren’t for everyone.

With this in mind, our next article will focus on alternative Christmas party looks that work well all year round as opposed to just lasting the party season.
