Philip Treacy is designing the trophies for the 2014 Brit Awards and has said they will have a “punk” look.
Treacy, whose hats have been worn by Madonna, Lady Gaga, Boy George, Grace Jones and Britain’s Princess Beatrice, among others, said: “Music has always been my inspiration and I’m fortunate to have worked with some of the music industry’s greatest artists.”
“My inspiration for the trophy comes from a uniquely British genre of music, punk.”
In previous years the trophies have been designed by renowned industry figures including Vivienne Westwood, Peter Blake and Damien Hirst.

The awards are scheduled to take place on February 19 at London’s O2 arena.
Katy Perry and the Artic Monkeys are the first acts to confirm performances at the 2014 awards.
James Corden will return to the stage for the fifth time as host of the event, but has confirmed that it will be his last stint as presenter.
He said: ‘I really love the BRITs. I’m such a fan. I’ll miss not doing it after this one but fully intend to enjoy every second of BRITs 2014.‘
