Batkid Miles touched the hearts of many when the Make-A-Wish foundation transformed San Francisco into Gotham City for a day.
5-year-old Miles is currently in remission from leukemia and his brave story has made headlines all over the world.
After hearing that the evil Joker, Batman’s nemesis, was in New York holding a celebrity hostage, Miles got on a plane for the second time in his life to save the day.
The Mayor of New York City, Michael Bloomberg had recorded a message for Miles welcoming him to the real “Gotham city”.
“He’s in remission so this has kind of been like the after-party for him, a way to kick it off,” his father Nick Scott told ABC. “Chemo is all he’s ever known. That’s the life that he’s known but this is kind of a way to celebrate the ending.”
Miles’ parents announced last week that they’ve created a Batkid Fund to benefit the organizations that helped Miles and his family through his battle with cancer.
Batkid visited the set of popular show Good Morning America where rapper Pitbull had been taken hostage by the Joker after his performance on the show…Miles got there just in time to save the day.
