Actor Hugh Jackman has revealed that he recently received treatment for skin cancer.
The Les Misérables star shared the above photograph, showing off his bandaged nose, on Instagram last night.
He explained how he had skin cancer removed from his face after his wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, told him to get a mark on his nose checked.
“Deb said to get the mark on my nose checked,” he wrote. “Boy, was she right! I had basil cell carcinoma [sic].” (Basal cell carcinoma is the most common type of skin cancer.)
The 45-year-old also warned fans to be careful: “Please don’t be foolish like me. Get yourself checked. And USE sunscreen!!!”
It was Hugh’s wife Deborra who told him to get the mark on his nose checked out.
