Kate Middleton suffered a wardrobe malfunction this morning when her skirt blew up in a gust of wind, much like Marilyn Monroe’s iconic pose in The Seven Year Itch.
The Duchess of Cambridge was dressed in a pleated navy Orla Kiely skirt and a MaxMara jacket, while carrying out duties in her role as a patron for the charity Place2Be.
When Kate bent down to accept a posy from a child, her skirt blew up in a sudden gust of wind but the princess managed to save her dignity.
Kate nearly had a fashion disaster this morning… we’ve all been there!
The charity provides school-based mental health and emotional support services, supporting 75,000 children in over 200 schools across deprived areas of the UK.
Place2Be says it helps children to ‘steer away from a downward spiral of low aspirations, truancy and exclusion from school, so that they can achieve their potential both in and outside the classroom and face brighter futures as they deserve’.
The Duchess is spending this morning listening to and meeting with speakers for the charity.
