On November 22nd, 1963, America was shook by one of the most devastating events in their history when their beloved President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas barely 50 minutes after he disembarked from Air Force One.
The week before his trip to Dallas, JFK held his very last press conference where he was once again put under pressure to discuss how the war in Vietnam was playing out.
Vietnam had spiralled out of America’s control with an army fighting a war they knew little about in a country where everyone was considered the enemy.
This was that conference. Little did the country know that just over a week later, JFK would no longer be with them.
