A new favourite bedtime story perhaps? Norweigan duo Ylvis’ hit “The Fox” is to be made into a children’s book.
The rights to the book based on the hit video were bought by Simon & Schuster’s Children’s Publishing according to the Hollywood Reporter. The song was released on September 3rd and quickly went viral.
“I cannot tell you how many times I’ve watched Ylvis’ hilarious, mesmerizing, unforgettable ‘The Fox’” said Simon & Schuster Children’s Publishing president Jon Anderson in a statement.
“I cannot tell you how many times I’ve watched Ylvis’ hilarious, mesmerizing, unforgettable ‘The Fox.’ The lyrics and playfulness of the song lend themselves perfectly to the picture book format, and I’m ecstatic that Simon & Schuster is publishing Bard and Vegard’s first book.”
The book-version of “The Fox” will be released on December 10th, just in time for Christmas shoppers to nab a copy.
