Obituaries are always incredibly difficult to read, but this one touched us a little more than they usually do.
This particular obituary was posted to Imgur and is having quite a dramatic effect. Harold, or “Coe”, was a World War II veteran who died with no close family.
The piece in the paper appeals for people to attend his funeral and to say goodbye to hero. Posted to Imgur jeryjesuitical, many have commented on the piece to say they will attend the funeral, which is taking place in the UK.
It’s that one line that will hit you hard, “A single man, he has no close family who can attend his funeral”. No one should ever leave this world like that.
