The new Star Wars film that’s to be directed and co-written by JJ Abrams has gotten its release date.
A push back on the expected release – the next installment of the Star Wars franchise is set to hit cinemas in the US on December 18th, 2015.
The announcement was made by LucasFilms and Disney.
Walt Disney Studios chairman Alan Horn said, “We’re very excited to share the official 2015 release date for Star Wars: Episode VII, where it will not only anchor the popular holiday filmgoing season but also ensure our extraordinary filmmaking team has the time needed to deliver a sensational picture.”
Auditions for Star Wars will be held in Ireland and the UK.
