Blast From The Past : Boyband Reunite For Charity Gig

Let's hope they throw some wacky dance moves

Boyzone are to return to the Childline stage 16 years after they helped launch the charity event.

Ronan Keating, Mikey Graham, Keith Duffy and Shane Lynch will open the show at Dublin’s O2 arena on November 20.

However, the occasion will be tinged with sadness for the band will be missing their fifth member, the late Stephen Gately who passed away in 2009.

Boyzone played at the first-ever Childline Concert in 1997 and the band announced the news of their comeback appearance in a statement released on Monday (4th November).

It read: “We can’t wait to open the show at Childline later this month. It’s an event that has a special place in Boyzone’s heart. To be back on our home turf as we celebrate our 20th anniversary means so much to us all.”

Also performing at this year’s concert are The Wanted, Shane Filan, Conor Maynard and Little Mix.

110 Irish children who attended Starcamp summer camps this year are also helping to do their bit for charity, they recorded a song entitled Solitaire- A Song For Childline…have a listen to the video below.

ISPCC Childline is celebrating 25 Years this month and all of the proceeds are going to the charity.
