A 41-year-old man has been arrested in suspicion of the murder of Elaine O’Hara.
The childcare worker’s body was found in the Dublin Mountains last month by a walker who spotted the human remains.
O’Hara, 36, had been missing for over a year after she disappeared from her home in Killiney.
After the discovery of her body, the Gardaí issued renewed appeals for information.
These included a request for anyone who may have spoken to her on the day of her disappearance.
A number of personal items were also discovered, which led Gardaí to believe that she had been murdered.

The investigation into her death led detectives to arrest a businessman in Foxrock, Dublin this morning.
The man shares his home with his wife and children.
“He is being detained at Blackrock Garda station under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 as amended,” a garda spokesman said.
