The violin which famously played on the night the Titanic sank has made its way home after 100 years.
According to the Express, the instrument which was played by Wallace Hartley on the sinking Titanic made its way home to Dewsbury today.
Witnesses from the night in question claimed that Hartley played the violin until the ship went down. Unfortunately, he did not survive the sinking.
Hartley placed the violin in its case before going down with the ship on that night in 1912. In 2006, the violin was rescued from the wreck.
The violin has been on display since May at Titanic Branson and Titanic Pigeon Forge in the United States.
It is set to be auctioned on October the 19th by Henry Aldridge and Son.
