In July of this year, Kate and William welcomed their first child into the world, Prince George of Cambridge.
Since the birth, there has been a lot of discussion about who should play godparents to the infant and with the news that the christening will take place on October 23rd, many were convinced that Pippa and Harry would receive the honour.
However, Kate and William have made the decision to choose their old college friends as godparents to young George.

According to the Telegraph, Fergus Boyd, William’s school friend and Kate’s college friend Emilia d’Erlanger have been selected as the godparents.
As well as the above, Hugh van Custem, another of William’s childhood friends will also play godfather.
The couple have also broken with tradition on where the ceremony will take place also, they have chosen the Chapel Royal in St. James’s Palace over the usual venue in Buckingham Palace.
The guest list for the event is already causing a stir as William and Kate have opted for a small affair with 60 guests, the paper claims.
